Our client is aggressively recruiting a Vice President of Engineering. Contract Manufacturer and/or OEM experience STRONGLY preferred.

The Vice President of Engineering's responsibilities include hiring, coaching and supporting engineers for the safest/best work environment and 100% customer satisfaction through operational excellence. Objectives include:

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Proven leadership skills in a high-performing environment
  • Hires, trains, inspires people of top character, ability and motivation
  • Sets stretch objectives with team to outperform for customers
  • Holds team 100% accountable and provides outstanding coaching and support to ensure every engineer is successful
  • Applies proven Lean Manufacturing expertise to achieve objectives
  • Leads from the front and sets the highest standard of excellence
  • Has expertise at AS9100, Nadcap, IPC-610 and all relevant quality standards and certifications
  • Interfaces with customers to build a supporting relationship, handle technical needs and ensure outperformance for customers
  • Five or more outstanding professional and personal references, including past three direct managers
  • Successfully completes thorough background check, drug testing and other employment testing before hiring
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Track record of success applying 5S, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma best practices
  • 20+ years of Process Engineering experience with Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS)
  • Demonstrated ability to set and achieve stretch goals quickly, while possessing strong people skills centered around supporting each member of the Primus family
  • Six Sigma Black Belt preferred
  • Proven expertise at achieving and sustaining the #1-ranked position with customers
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or more advanced Engineering degree from a leading engineering school
  • Strong computer skills including CAD, Microsoft Excel, and all needed software packages 
  • Five or more outstanding professional and personal references, including past three direct managers
  • Successfully completes thorough background check, drug testing and other employment testing before hiring
