· Responsible for generating SMT machine programs with consistent programming techniques
· Perform programming updates from SMT line changes and Engineering change request
· Provide first line of support to production floor SMT equipment setups and operation
· Provide first line of support to production floor to troubleshoot SMT equipment to include solder paste inspection, screen printers, chip shooters, pick & place, and reflow oven
· Responsible for monitoring, evaluating, or improving the performance of SMT equipment
· Partners with Process and Quality Engineers to review and analyze defect/yield data; coordinates root cause and corrective actions using appropriate tools/methodologies.
· Assist in developing programs, for example: Prep, Routers, Ovens/Wave or Select Solder types of equipment utilized in the production process
· Support new product introduction at SMT and provide feedback on design for manufacturing
· Support engineering continuous improvement efforts
· Assists manufacturing and production readiness reviews
· Evaluates new quality standards as required
Requirements:
· AS degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
· Minimum 3- years - experience supporting SMT programming team
· Hands on technical experience with SMT processes, soldering and testing requirements
· Knowledge of IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 D
· Skilled in problem solving techniques and methods (process, product, procedure). Experience with continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing preferred.
· Experience with implementing lean tools/methods (Standard work, 5S, cells, TPM, 1-piece flow, Set Up reduction, Poka Yoke)
· Familiarity with work standards and visual manufacturing instructions
· May require handling or exposure to chemicals used in the production area.
·  Continuous standing during daily support initiatives. Occasional lifting and moving of material and fixtures over 25 pounds and up to 60 pounds. Infrequent movement of equipment with casters in excess of 100 pounds.
·  Strong interpersonal skills and team building skills
·  Strong computer skills (Proficient with MS Office Suite)
·  Excellent oral and written communication skills
·  Ability to adapt quickly to changes, prioritize and execute multiple tasks in the fast pace environment
·  Detail- oriented, fast learner
